About Natasha Khoo
I’m a little queer, sometimes temperamental, a perfectionist by nature and a girly girl who enjoys my independence. I’m working my way to achieving the list of 30 things to achieve before I turn 30. Some people think I’m ambitious. I just think I’m goal-oriented. I believe in living a purposeful life and I aspire to inspire one day at a time.
Most of all, I love what I do. Professionally, I organise parties, events and weddings. I love conceptualising ideas, themes, and all things beautiful. I enjoy travelling the world around for inspiration. I bake and cook when I’m stressed, and I enjoy a good company of intellectual people who inspire me at all levels. A bonus if someone plays a good game of chess. I’ve only visited 4% of the world. Which means I still have 96% to go. That’s on my list of 100 things to do before I die.
Snow Flakes and Cherry Blossoms – because that’s the meaning of my name in Chinese (I added ‘flakes’ because it gives a more nostalgic feel
). This blog being my way of ‘being’ – my past and my present, my thoughts, my observations and my catalogue of hopes and dreams.
I live by the motto that to do nothing is to be nothing. Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve. So I follow my heart, at most times. I believe in Buckminster Fuller’s (Bucky) principle that we are living in a world of abundance. For those who do not know, Bucky was an inventor, engineer, architect, mathematician, poet and cosmologist. But more importantly, Bucky was one of our world’s first futurists and global thinkers who left a legacy about a greater understanding and appreciation of the world’s resources and addressing global problems of humanity, poverty and homelessness.
