It’s finally ready to launch. Gosh…this project, that started off as a pet project is now taking up so much of my time. It’s almost a full time job. In fact, I think once it’s launch, it will become full time.

It’s a labour of love. The idea was first conceptualised after Tian Leng passed away and at that time, I wanted to start another blog that talks solely on beautiful living. However, after brainstorming and putting in some thoughts……. one idea led on to another and eventually, that small idea on beautiful living turned into a BLOGAZINE!!!!

It’s quite an ambitious project I must say, considering the fact that I have no experience in publishing or internet marketing. But this project was first conceptualised as a non-profit, inspirational site for everyone out there. It’s not meant to be as big as those community/entertainment sites with big investors or large corporations like GUA.com (by Media Prima group) or KLUE.com, but as I mentioned, it’s a labour of love. As the saying goes, “CREATIVITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN KNOWLEDGE” and creativity requires PASSION first.

So, Décorateur is the first BLOGAZINE in ASIA with the objective to inspire beautiful living and encourage the celebration of life events (I believe it is, after doing my research). It is a blog that is formatted like an online magazine but reads like a blog. It’ll contain a combination of both blog-style writing and article-style write ups from myself and other fabulous contributors.

It’ll contain entertaining ideas, home accents, recipes, retreat locations and more. We source the market for good food,  innovative designs, talented individuals and then feature them in our blogazine.  Of course, it won’t be FREE for long, hahaha….. it does take up tonnes of research and time, so yea….I will charge for advertising but not so soon.

I’d also like to invite any home owners to feature their house/homes here under the category OPEN HOUSE. Most people take so much time, spend so much money to decorate their rooms and homes so this site is also a great way for everyone to share their creative DIY ideas, budgeting tips, good suppliers’ details or even great bargains and biggest splurge. The site is really created with the community’s interest at heart. I mean, sure…magazines always feature great, glossy pages of dream homes that never fail to inspire us but seriously…how many of us out there can actually afford to build such homes? So this section features an e-tour into real homes, real ordinary folks like you and me, while at the same time, of course, we also feature designs from interior designers, etc.

In a nutshell, this category is for all of us to become a kitchen Goddess or for kitchen goddesses to show off their flair in the kitchen! I hope this wouldn’t turn away the guys who are good in the kitchen to also contribute their cooking recipes. hahaha… I can’t put Kitchen Hero or Kitchen God. Kitchen Goddess just sounds more apt.

There is also Sugar & Spice, a brutally honest special column on love, sex and relationships. It’s written by females so forgive us if the male gender feels a little offended.

This would probably be a favourite because it’s all about eating out. I wanted to start off by featuring food outlets that are affordable for daily feast. Say….when you run out of places everyday thinking, “What to eat today ah…?” then just log on and see if anything there interest you.  Fine dining and night crawls will come in every once in a while.

Since this blogazine started with a heart, and all it takes is a heartbeat to live life to the fullest, the philosophy and principle behind this blogazine also circles around HEART.
